Zhiyun-Tech CRANE 3S Handheld Stabilizer represents a significant upgrade from previous Zhiyun gimbals. It boasts detachable handle options, more powerful motors capable of handling a substantial 14.3 lb payload, an enhanced axis-locking mechanism, external power input, and the advanced ViaTouch 2.0 remote control system. What sets it apart is the 55° angled roll axis, which ensures your camera doesn’t obstruct your view and offers modularity to accommodate larger cameras with an included extension arm.

The CRANE 3S features an ergonomically designed angled handle that facilitates two-handed operation for superior stability. This handle allows for smooth transitions to underslung mode, whether you’re using one or two hands, enabling creative shots like 330° roll shots when approaching your subject. It incorporates several advanced functions, including camera record/stop/shutter control via the included cables, an upgraded zoom and focus system inherited from the CRANE 3 LAB, and compatibility with the separately available Transmount Image Transmission System for wireless video streaming. Furthermore, it’s adaptable to various camera sizes through an optional extension module for extending the horizontal arm.

The 3S provides two detachable, angled handle options. The SmartSling, included in the package, offers an ergonomic handle with an integrated joystick and control buttons. Alternatively, the optional EasySling provides a straightforward and comfortable handgrip without controls. All the essential controls, along with an OLED status screen, are conveniently located at the top of the primary handle. For added convenience, the Zhiyun iOS/Android app offers similar control functions and special features like panorama, focus time-lapse, motion time-lapse, long exposure time-lapse, camera settings, and more.
