Built with sturdier construction, it incorporates Manfrotto’s advanced bridging technology, inherited from the premium 509 and 504 heads. Ideal for cinematic moves with compact camcorders and DSLR cameras, the 502AH comes in two versions: this “AH” flat base version with a 3/8″-16 mounting hole, and a separately available “A” ball base version.
With a 22 lb weight capacity and an 8.8 lb counterbalance, this head is designed to handle uneven payloads, such as those caused by matte boxes or DSLR rig setups. The 3.27″ balance plate adjustment range helps fine-tune the load distribution.
