Manfrotto MVH502AH Pro Video Head with flat base is a fully-featured professional video head. Built with sturdier construction, it incorporates Manfrotto’s advanced bridging technology, inherited from the premium 509 and 504 heads. Ideal for cinematic moves with compact camcorders and DSLR cameras, the 502AH comes in two versions: this “AH” flat base version with a 3/8″-16 mounting hole, and a separately available “A” ball base version.
With a 22 lb weight capacity and an 8.8 lb counterbalance, this head is designed to handle uneven payloads, such as those caused by matte boxes or DSLR rig setups. The 3.27″ balance plate adjustment range helps fine-tune the load distribution.
The bridging technology not only makes the pan friction control on the Manfrotto MVH502AH pro video head with flat base intuitive and easy to set but also protects it from accidental bumps. Independent locks for pan and tilt, combined with continuously adjustable drag settings, allow for smooth, precise operation.
